Universal Testing Machine
A Universal Testing Machine is also known as a materials testing machine/ test frame is used to test the tensile and compressive properties of materials.The Universal Testing machine is named so because it can perform all the tests like compression, bending, tension etc to examine the material in all mechanical properties.
The Machine Consist Of:
1. Control Panel:
The control panel consists of a power pack complete with drive motor and an oil tank, control valves, a pendulum dynamometer, a load indicator system and an autographic recorder.
2.Power Pack:
The power pack generates the maximum pressure of 200 kgf per square cm. The hydraulic pump provides continuously non-pulsating oil flow. Hence the load application is very smooth.
3.Hydraulic Controls:
available with Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine
Hand operated wheels are used to control the flow to and from the hydraulic cylinder. The regulation of oil flow is infinitely variable.
4.Load indicator System:
available with Hydraulic Universal Testing Machine
This system consists of a large dial and a pointer. A dummy pointer is provided to register the maximum load reached during the test.
5.Accuracy and Calibration:
All Universal Testing Machines are closely controlled for sensitivity, accuracy and calibration during every stage of manufacture.
